Amanda is an amazing teacher in every way. She has great skills as a riding instructor, with an enormous number of fun and interesting ways for kids to learn the skills they need to ride safely and well. She is also magic with young children. Kids seem to immediately trust Amanda, My daughter loved her immediately and she doesn't take well to new people. One of her friends, who is terrified of animals of any size, was willing to work with Amanda to groom a horse after a lesson. My daughter loves every minute she spends at Knoll Crest Farm, whether she is riding or working in the barn. I can honestly say that riding at Knoll Crest has changed my daughter's life. She is more confident and happier than she has ever been. I give Amanda credit for that.

My daughter had been taking riding lessons for nearly a year at another barn and neither she nor I were seeing much progression in her lessons. Each lesson was pretty much the same. We decided to look for a new stable and after looking at numerous facilities, we finally settled on Knoll Crest Farm. Alexa felt very comfortable with Amanda from the start and I was very impressed with Amanda's knowledge, kind demeanor, and her dedication to providing a clean, safe and fun environment. It is wonderful to watch Amanda really teaching riding skills to my daughter and to see the positive impact Amanda's lessons have on Alexa's riding abilities. Amanda Boerner has introduced my children to a world beyond just horseback riding. When involved in one of Knoll Crest Farm’s programs, we are immersed in a complete understanding of horses. We learn what their eating habits are, how to groom them, what their emotions are and how to read them; what their behavior in the wild was like and how it relates to their behavior now; and yes, even how to “muck” stalls. Her approach is straight forward and full of information. Her enthusiasm for teaching and riding is evident at every lesson. She is quick to point out when my kids are doing well and gentle when correcting them. I have never seen any teacher before with such a gift for relating to children on their level. My children are living happier lives because of the self-confidence and appreciation for Amanda’s beautiful horses; that they have gained since they began taking riding lessons. I highly recommend Knoll crest Farm for every level of rider – especially children!
