We will learn how to assess an injury and determine the steps that need to be taken in order to treat it. Each student will participate in a mock emergency to demonstrate his or her new skills.

Equine Nutrition
This class covers what we feed our horses and why. Students will learn how to calculate how much to feed a horse, what to feed a horse, how to know if your horse is eating enough or too much, and common diseases that come from poor nutrition. We will be cooking the horses a healthy nutritious snack to feed them at the end of the class. Each student will make their own “horsey” cookbook to take home.

Fit Riders
Come and learn some great exercises that you can do by yourself at home to help you become a stronger rider. We will be using some yoga techniques, a mini trampoline and stretching exercises to help strengthen our core muscles. These exercises will improve your form, comfort, and steadiness in your seat. Each student will take home a packet of exercises.
